Kenmare's oldest business, established in 1899, lives on in this building. The Linotype machine, the Chandler and Price press, the Hamilton type cabinets full of hand-set lead type — the Kenmare News building preserves the full working equipment of a small-town newspaper from the letterpress era.
Pioneer Village is preserved entirely by gifts from people who love it. Your contribution keeps all twenty-four buildings standing, the grounds open, and the programs running for the children who visit each spring.
